I'm back!

I was loosing weight great, and then we started to get a lot of ice cream around the house, my temptation levels were high, and I pigged out on ice cream...a few times.  So, my body has shown me what ice cream can do to it and now I have to lose back the weight that I lost pre-ice cream.  I think about my weight all the time, but not because I want to be skinny, I want to have less weight on my joints.  I don't feel fat, and I'm not, but I do need to lose weight to be healthy.  At this point in my life I need to do every little thing I can to preserve the health I have left and hopefully gain back.

Without further ado, I present my back to basics, back to food diary weight loss, tricks!

Yesterday:

3 poptarts
2 bowls of bran flakes
banana

Today:

2 bowls bran flakes
1 1/2 bowls chocolate rice krispies
2 slices pizza

I know that my food choices aren't exactly the best, but when I'm in a lot of pain my appetite is less and suppers tend to not get made because Jim is tending to me instead.  The only thing I absolutely need to get in every day is two bowls of bran flakes for my IBS.  Other than that I eat if there is supper, but usually not that much.  Unfortunately my food choices are bad and I know it.  I get in lots of fiber and I take lots of vitamins, though.  My BIL made spaghetti and garlic bread the other night and I just ate the garlic bread and was full.  I didn't know I'd fill up so easy, though.  My eating times are varied, but my foods not so much.  I don't mind that, but it's not healthy.  My main problem recently has been staying away from ice cream.  Now that DH said he wouldn't buy any ice cream for me I have done a lot better the last two days.  I know today was pretty unhealthy, and the chocolate cereal I went overboard on.  I refuse to eat pizza often anymore, even if that was planned, because it is so unhealthy.  Once a week I do eat it, and guess what?  Tonight's the night!  lol

DH has been so supportive.  While it took awhile for him to quit forgetting and surprising me with chocolates when he stopped he rarely messes up and is always in my corner rooting me on.  Now that I told him I'm ready to cut ice cream out I really hope he remembers and doesn't keep bringing home ice cream.  My will power is low for ice cream.  I first cut out chocolates, now ice cream.  I'm getting better!  I've also cut down on pizza.  If I got more fruits and veggies in my diet it would be better, though I'm still fine if I come in over 1200 calories and under 2000 calories.  The lower down the better.  Today will probably tip over on the 2000, but I'm working on it getting better.  I've also been staying away from red meat, but I always do, anyway.  I've also been eating some fruit, nothing fried, and cutting down on eating anything processed (except cereal).  I know by the last two days you probably can't tell that.  lol  I'm just working on one thing at a time, one thing at a time. :-)
